Climatic characteristics
The Philippines has a monsoon tropical rainforest climate, characterized by high temperatures, heavy rainfall, high humidity, and frequent typhoons. The annual average temperature is about 27 ℃, and the annual average precipitation in most areas is between 2000-3000 millimeters. The western part of the archipelago is divided into dry season (November to April of the following year) and rainy season (May to October), while the eastern coast has rain all year round, with the highest amount in winter. The southern region also experiences frequent rainfall throughout the year, with no clear distinction between dry and rainy seasons. The eastern Pacific Ocean is the origin of typhoons, with many typhoons occurring from June to November each year. [10]
river hydrology
The rivers within the Philippines are relatively short. The Kagayan River, the largest river in Luzon Island, is 350 kilometers long; Mindanao Island is larger with the Mindanao River and Agusang River.

In April 2025, the Philippines successfully installed 120 80W Solar Street Lights, increasing travel safety, facilitating small vendors to do business, and allowing people to sing and dance at night, extending happy hours. More importantly, they can enjoy the light they bring without spending a penny on electricity.
